| Fashion Spotlight features jewelry trends at the current leading edge of fashion. This page will spotlight vintage jewelry that compliments the current look and will change as the trends do. Spring 2010 - Dominating the jewelry scene....Chains! Wide and chunky or narrower and stacked, this season is all about chain, both in necjklaces and bracelet. Thick cable link necklaces and bracelets, or long narrower chains layered with shorter bib necklace styles are all popular. Continuing this spring are more sculptural metals, both gold and silver tones, with and without adornment. Heavily decorated or sleek and modern, they all work. If you don't have wide cuffs, go with several narrower designs and/or patterns that work well worn together. Plastic are making a come-back for this sping, look for decorated and/or jeweled lucite bangles. Statement earrings are still this season's fashion must. Also look for Art Deco designs (check out our Art Deco gallery for dozens of authentic period pieces) for evenings, and glitzy chunky rhinestones in interesting and bold designs. Serpents and snakes are trendy, see below for several examples. Flashy or big and bold cocktail rings remain a fashion staple well into this 1New Year. |
